Having friends like this can make all the difference

I hope you know you have friends like this, should you ever need them, Jack.

Peace <3

I once heard someone say on a tv news story about depression and suicide, that depression is the 'default condition' when everything that gives you happiness in life is taken away. It is about relativity and how you deal with it. I watched the BBC news this morning about Somalia and the ongoing fighting there. I saw all the little children who had the misfortune of being born into this living hell of war and hunger. Yet we have the luxury of feeling depressed in our relative security and comfort.
-I guess to prevent this 'default condition' we need to anticipate this and take the initiative to head it off. A balance of activities in our daily lives to take our minds off ourselves, and a realization that comparing ourselves to others is illusory cos time has a way of turning the tables, helps keep our brains on the positive side of life. It DOES take effort to ward off the 'black dog' (as Churchill called it) and enjoy life. You are young, intelligent, healthy, and good looking; the kind of guy I'm sure other young gay guys are looking for, which I know will happen in time. bfn - Wayne (hugs)

It's a beautiful song.

People who are special to us - people we love - they're our future.
