Stupid Trains ...

This is just a quick post to demonstrate my strong distate for public transport ... ESPECIALLY trains!

Ok, thats a lie, i actually quite enjoy riding on trains, there is something about the idea of travelling somewhere far away on your own that sounds quite appealing to me, but not all the time!

Not only is a train journey from uni to my home town expensive and complicated (three different tickets and about a total of 4 stops) but im trying to do it online and in advance. Well i say advance (its tomorow lol), but now for whatever reason, its decided to not sell me the bloody ticket!

No explination or reason, just a suggestion to remove the return journey (which doesnt work!!!) ... GRRR

Stupid online sales programs!

Something similar happened to me recently when I attempted to buy some theater tickets online. There came a point in the process where it just wouldn't continue. Finally I gave up and telephoned the box office.

Hi there, Jack

I agree with naturgesetz: stupid websites! Tough I must admit that the rail network isn't very well suited to your particular journey.

I have some ideas on how to make the journey easier, and perhaps cheaper - I'll e-mail you.

Take care

Mark

HAHAHAHA!!! It's funny, when I was there in 2007, my friend Derek told me to ride the bus because it was more reliable than the train. It left something like 2 hours late (at 7ish), then got in 2 hours early. This is after missing the noon bus and having to wait until the 5:15 (note actual departure time). When I finally got to Penzance and related this to Derek his only comment was "You should have taken the bloody train!"

This does not build up my confidence in your public transport for my trip next summer, though I'll probably get a BritRail pass which should simplify some of it (I hope!).

Have a good time at home, I'm sure they'll be happy to see you and vice-versa!

Peace <3
Jay
